{"id":1618640,"url":"https://alion.io/job/balfour-beatty-plc-regional-controller","title":"Regional Controller","company":{"id":1842250,"name":"Balfour Beatty","domain":"balfourbeatty.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/balfourbeatty-com","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Dayforce","truth_index":{"grade":"B","score":80,"open_postings":5,"ghost_share":0,"stale_share":1,"repost_share":0,"time_to_fill_p50_days":19,"computed_at":"2026-10-29T05:49:05Z"}},"role":"Finance","role_family":"Finance","seniority":"staff","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Wilmington, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":58000,"max_usd":157000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":758},"experience_years_min":10,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-01T06:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-01","last_verified_at":"2026-10-29T16:02:04Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":28,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":28},"description":"Job Title: Regional Controller\n\nEmployer: Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc.\n\nReports To: VP of Finance / CFO – Balfour Beatty Infrastructure, Inc.\n\nThe Regional Controller is a senior member of the Region Management Team, which is led by the Regional Vice President and accountable for the overall direction and performance of the Region business unit.\n\nResponsibilities:\nThe Regional Controller is responsible for the financial management of the Region, including but not limited to:\nMaintain the Region’s financial records in accordance with BBII Standard Operating Procedures and GAAP, including support activities such as AP, AR and report preparation.\nPrepare and deliver monthly financial reports to Regional and Corporate Management.\nDevelop detailed project and division overhead cost and revenue forecasts.\nParticipate in monthly financial review meetings with Senior Corporate Management covering all aspects of divisional performance.\nMaintain a control environment consistent with BBII SOPs.\nManage cash forecasting and cash flow.\nCoordinate with and represent the Region in internal, external, and government audits.\nMaintain a detailed understanding of all projects and operations within the Regional portfolio.\n\nOther Responsibilities:\nHire, train, and develop qualified, motivated staff.\nWork effectively in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.\nOversee all regional and project accounting staff.\nOversee the preparation, review, and accuracy of budgets and other financial operating reports.\nPrepare accurate reports that summarize and forecast financial position, including income, expenses, and budget-to-actual performance.\nMonitor and report actual results against key performance indicators, and provide continuous improvement plans to enhance business performance.\nAnalyze financial reports for variances against forecasts, budgets, and benchmarks, and provide recommendations to management.\nReview operating expenses, recommend cost-reduction opportunities, and lead the monthly SG&A review process.\nReview the financial aspects of major bids, including equipment purchase or lease analysis, projected cash flow, insurance, and property taxes.\nContribute to the development and updating of the Region’s strategic plan.\nAttend quarterly Cost to Complete meetings for all active internal projects.\nAttend monthly or as-needed joint venture board meetings.\nMaintain strong working relationships with joint venture accounting staff and management.\nFile annual property tax renditions and represent the Region in appraisal protests.\nReview and approve all check edits before payment.\nReview and approve all payroll edits before posting.\nProduce a weekly 13-week rolling cash forecast report.\nParticipate in the biweekly Financial Leadership Team conference call.\nEnsure balance sheet reconciliations are completed monthly.\nPerform other duties as assigned by the CFO or Regional Vice President.\n\nRequired Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n10–15 years of financial management experience, with at least 5 years preferred in the engineering, construction, or professional services industry.
