The Power BI Senior Developer builds and maintains the Power BI reports, apps, and dashboards. Works directly with business units to define requirements, model the data, and deliver reports through design, development, testing, and acceptance, with minimal supervision. Supports the company’s Power Platform environment and helps Power Platform users follow citizen developer guidelines.\n\nThis is a hybrid position that requires working in the office three days per week and working from home two days per week.\n\nJob Responsibilities\nDesign, build, test, and deploy Power BI reports, apps, and dashboards for Accounting, Finance, Risk, HR, Payroll, and Operations. Manage access to reports and apps.\nDevelop semantic models, DAX measures, calculation groups, and Power Query (M) transformations that perform well and scale.\nWork with business users and analysts to define reporting requirements, KPIs, and technical specifications; recommend design changes and communicate status to stakeholders and managers.\nSupport the Power Platform environment, including Power Apps to write back from Power BI reports. Ensure Power Platform users follow citizen developer guidelines.\nWork with Architecture & Integration team members to connect, shape, and refresh data from source systems, including gateway and scheduled refresh configuration.\nCreate unit, regression, and user acceptance tests; validate report data against source systems; lead acceptance testing of completed projects.\nRespond to business inquiries, tune report performance, train business users, and maintain technical documentation\nPerform additional technology support tasks assigned by IT leadership to support business operations and user needs \n\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university\nMinimum of 5 years of Power BI report and dashboard development experience\nStrong proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M).\nSignificant experience in relational database design and development, including advanced SQL.\nExperience in dimensional (star-schema) data modeling.\nModeling skills to represent requirements in graphical forms to augment textual representations.\nExperience with Power BI Service administration: workspaces, gateways, scheduled refresh, and row-level security.\nAble to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize multiple projects, and provide status reports on open projects. \n\nPreferred Requirements\nExperience with Microsoft Fabric and deployment pipelines.\nFamiliarity with the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and citizen developer governance.\nMicrosoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) or Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600).\nExperience with ETL/ELT tooling and enterprise data warehouses.\nExperience reporting on Accounting, Finance, HR, or Payroll data.\nConstruction domain experience (project cost tracking, change orders, commitments, schedules etc.) and/or exposure to tools such as Procore, Primavera P6, and JD Edwards\n\nSoft Skills\nCommunicates clearly with business users and technical teams, including presenting data and findings.\nWorks effectively in a team environment and collaborates across departments.\nPlans and prioritizes work independently and meets deadlines.\nActs with integrity in support of the Company, IT values, and employees, with a constant focus on meeting or exceeding customer requirements and
