At the heart of Ballerina Farm is a desire to share the beauty, simplicity, and richness of farm life with people everywhere.\nThe Role\nWe are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and team-oriented Pastry Baker to support the daily production of pastries, baked goods, and other sellable items. This role is responsible for preparing, proofing, baking, and finishing a variety of products while maintaining consistent quality, presentation, and production standards. The Pastry Baker will also assist with bread and focaccia production, support general kitchen needs, and help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.\nThe ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and passionate about quality food. They take pride in their work, care about consistency and presentation, and are willing to jump in wherever needed to support the kitchen and production team.\nWhat You’ll Do\nPull, proof, bake, and finish croissants and a variety of pastries according to established recipes and production standards.\nPrepare cookies, batters, fillings, toppings, and other pastry components and sellable items.\nAssist with daily bread and focaccia production, including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking as needed.\nFollow recipes and production procedures accurately to ensure consistency in quality, taste, texture, and appearance.\nMeasure and prepare ingredients accurately and efficiently.\nMonitor baking times, temperatures, proofing, and product quality throughout the production process.\nAssist with daily production planning and ensure products are prepared in the appropriate quantities and on schedule.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift.\nProperly store, label, and date ingredients and prepared products.\nFollow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards.\nAssist with general kitchen tasks and production needs as directed by the Pastry/Kitchen leadership.\nCommunicate effectively with team members regarding production needs, inventory, timing, and any issues affecting daily operations.\nSupport a positive, collaborative, and efficient kitchen environment.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat You’ll Need\nPrevious baking, pastry, or professional kitchen experience preferred.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality.\nAbility to follow recipes, instructions, and production standards accurately.\nAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.\nValid Utah Food Handlers Permit required.\nReliable, punctual, and dependable.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.\nAbility to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.\nBasic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.\nAbility to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.\nAbility to lift and carry ingredients, equipment, and finished products as needed.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand and work for extended periods of time.\nAbility to frequently bend, reach, twist, stoop, and move throughout the kitchen and production areas.\nAbility to lift, carry, and move ingredients, equipment, trays, and finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to safely operate and work around ovens, mixers, proofers, and other commercial kitchen equipment.\nAbout the Opportunity\nThis is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position\nThis position required work to be performed on-site at our production site in Midway, Utah.\nWhy You Want to Work Here\nPaid Time Off\nHealth benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and more.\nBallerina Farm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive and respectful workplace for all employees and applicants.
