This role builds, enhances and supports MuleSoft applications and integrations throughout the development lifecycle, including testing, release and production support. The successful candidate takes ownership of integrations end to end and helps deliver reliable solutions across global teams.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nIntegration Development\nBuilds, enhances and supports MuleSoft applications with strong DataWeave skills.\nFollows API-led connectivity patterns and the team's coding standards.\nWorks with various messaging protocols (HTTP, JMS, AMQP, SFTP etc.), API protocols (SOAP, REST, GraphQL), message queueing systems (ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ etc.) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc.).\nUses AI-assisted development as a part of day-to-day workflow.\nQuality, Testing & Release \nWrites MUnit tests for the integrations they build or change.\nParticipates in peer code reviews.\nSupports the QA team and peers in partner teams during QA process.\nMoves changes through Dev, UAT and Production using the team's CI/CD and release process.\nDocuments configuration and properties so others can support what they build.\nProduction Support & Operations\nSupports and maintains applications in production.\nMonitors alerts and logs, performs first-level root-cause analysis, and shares findings with the team and relevant stakeholders.\nCollaboration & Growth \nWorks with product, engineering, QA and business partners in the US, Mexico and India to clarify requirements, estimate stories and deliver sprint commitments, especially through the peak holiday season.\nWorks in an Agile/Scrum environment and participates in Scrum ceremonies.\nTakes ownership of small-to-medium integrations end to end in a small team of cross-functional partners.\nOther Duties & Responsibilities\nPerforms other duties that may be assigned from time to time.\nWhat we're looking for:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.\nMinimum of three (3) to four (4) years of experience in integration development and proficient knowledge of MuleSoft.\nMust have fundamental knowledge of programming languages such as Java.\nMust be able to work effectively in teams and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.\nExperience in the retail or eCommerce industry is desirable but not required.\nExperience integrating with NetSuite ERP, IBM Sterling OMS desirable but not required.\nMuleSoft Certified Developer certification is desirable but not required.\nExperience with AI concepts, APIs, tools, AI harnesses (Claude Code, Codex etc.) is desirable but not required.\nLocation: The Integration Engineer position is a remote working position for Balsam International Unlimited Philippine ROHQ in Manila.
