We're looking for a software engineer who understands system architecture, can solve complex technical challenges, and knows when to use low-code platforms versus custom development.\nRole Details\nCommitment: Full-Time (40 hours/week)\nWorking Hours: CET\nLocation: Fully Remote\nEngagement: Independent Contractor\nMonthly Rate: $1,800-$2,400 (can be higher, depending on level of experience)\nWhat You'll Do\nAI Automation & Workflow Development\nDesign, build, and maintain complex automation workflows using n8n, Make.com, and Zapier.\n\nDevelop end-to-end integrations connecting business applications, APIs, databases, CRMs, and AI models.\n\nBuild and optimize HubSpot CRM automations, including contacts, deals, pipelines, properties, and workflows.\n\nDevelop AI-powered solutions and agents for sales, research, customer support, and other business processes.\n\nTroubleshoot and optimize workflows for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.\n\nSoftware Development & AI Systems\nDevelop custom integrations, scripts, and applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python.\n\nDesign robust system architectures involving APIs, webhooks, databases, and authentication.\n\nBuild RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems using LLMs, embeddings, document retrieval, and vector databases.\n\nEvaluate existing platforms and develop custom solutions when off-the-shelf tools are insufficient.\n\nApply software engineering and cybersecurity best practices to ensure secure, reliable, and maintainable systems.\n\nProject Ownership & Collaboration\nTake ownership of projects from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, deployment, and optimization.\n\nTranslate business requirements into practical technical solutions.\n\nCollaborate with the founder and delivery team on technical decisions and project execution.\n\nMaintain clear documentation and high standards of quality.\n\nProactively identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and development processes.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nMust-Haves\nSeveral years (at least 3+) of professional software development experience, complemented by substantial hands-on automation engineering experience.\n\nAdvanced proficiency in n8n and Make.com, including complex, multi-step workflows and integrations.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM, including its data structures, pipelines, properties, and automation capabilities.\n\nPractical experience building RAG-based AI systems, including LLM integrations, embeddings, document retrieval, and vector databases.\n\nStrong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python.\n\nSolid understanding of APIs, webhooks, databases, authentication, and system architecture.\n\nExperience developing AI-powered workflows, LLM integrations, and AI agents.\n\nAbility to independently design, troubleshoot, and deliver complex technical solutions.\n\nExcellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.\n\nNice-to-Haves\nExperience with Zapier, Close CRM, or other automation and CRM platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools.\n\nExperience building custom business applications or replacing/extending SaaS platforms.\n\nBackground in an AI automation consultancy, agency, or client-facing technical environment.\n\nPrevious technical leadership experience.\n\nIdeal Candidate Profile\nYou're a software engineer at heart who understands both traditional development and modern automation platforms.
