It’s a chance for driven professionals to grow, learn, and make a real difference.\nIf you are interested in exploring the possibilities We Want to Talk to You!\nThe Difference You Make:\nThe VP, Underwriting & Portfolio Manager provides expertise in underwriting, structuring, servicing and documenting new and renewal credits. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for identifying, gathering and analyzing relevant information to assess credit risk, establish viability of sources of repayment and determine appropriate loan structures. Acts as lead underwriter in collaboration with bankers in preparing credit approval memos with recommendations consistent with bank policy that illustrate well-reasoned analysis. You will perform servicing reviews and supports management of the assigned portfolio to identify and minimize risk to the organization. Provides quality customer service, including participation in joint calls on customers, as needed.\nEnsures financial statements are spread and analyzed, addressing industry risks, monitoring collateral requirements, loan structuring and pricing, credit analysis, monitoring credit performance and assisting with loan presentations.\nHelps to structure deals\nHandles reporting on loans such as past dues, documentation and collateral exceptions, financial performance updates, portfolio profitability, risk grades, etc.\nKeeps informed of financial and market trends in the portfolio and analyzes those trends for the effect they will have on the portfolio.\nAssists in special projects as assigned.\nWhat You Bring:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s Degree: in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Required\nMaster's Degree: in related field or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education - Preferred\nQualifications:\n7+ Years Financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management. - Required.\n7+ Years Experience underwriting corporate loan transactions - Required.\nSuperior written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong analytical skills and proficient with financial statements.\nAbility to work in a fast paced environment with little supervision.\nAbility to work well with others and on teams.\nProficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.\nSkilled in proposing and negotiating and recommending credit and covenant structures.\nComfortable in customer contact situations including escalations and potential work-out/loan restructure environments.\nAbility to foster strong partnerships with the related documentation and underwriting units.\nDemonstrated practical and conceptual knowledge of credit and risk analysis.\nDemonstrated knowledge in financial modeling and able to structure credit in modeling environment. Able to assist RM's on how to structure the credit relationship.\nExhibits competency at independently reaching conclusions and forms clear view of credit structure and business risk to organization.\nSolid understanding of industry nuances applicable to the credits contained within the group's portfolio.\nSolid knowledge of loan and related legal documents.\nStrong communication skills, and ability to influence others by persuasively presenting thoughts and ideas to gain commitment and agreement for proposed ideas and solutions.\nMust demonstrate strong judgment and sound credit skills.ge of Federal banking regulations.\nCertifications:\nOther: Completion of bank-certified course in Credit Training - Required.\nIt Would Be Nice For You To Have:\nEstablished work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.\nWork Authorization & Sponsorship:\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring employer sponsorship to commence employment.\nWhat Else You Need To Know:\nThe base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week.
