The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and scaling AI products, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering measurable business impact across underwriting, claims, fraud detection, risk analytics, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.\n\nResponsibilities: \nLead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML solutions for Life Insurance use cases, including underwriting, claims automation, fraud detection, persistency, and customer analytics.\nOwn end-to-end delivery of multiple AI initiatives or large-scale enterprise AI programs.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Analytics teams.\nPartner with business stakeholders to identify high-impact AI opportunities and translate them into scalable solutions.\nDrive solution architecture, model development, feature engineering, experimentation, and optimization.\nEstablish best practices for model governance, validation, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.\nCollaborate closely with underwriting, claims, actuarial, risk, operations, and distribution teams.\nEvaluate and implement emerging technologies in generative AI, Agentic AI, and Intelligent Automation.\nDrive AI adoption and create measurable business outcomes through data-driven decision-making.\n\nRequirements: \n8-12 years of experience in Data Science, AI, or Machine Learning.\nAt least 2-4 years of experience leading AI teams or enterprise AI initiatives.\nProven track record of delivering AI solutions in BFSI, preferably Life Insurance.\nStrong blend of technical depth, business understanding, and leadership capability.\nAbility to operate in a fast-paced environment and drive AI adoption across business functions.\n\nAI / Machine Learning: \nStrong hands-on expertise in Machine Learning, Statistical Modelling, and Data Science.\nExperience building and deploying production-grade ML solutions at scale.\nDeep understanding of: Supervised and Unsupervised Learning, Classification, Regression, Clustering, Time Series Forecasting, Recommendation Systems, NLP and Predictive Analytics.\nStrong knowledge of feature engineering, model evaluation, explainability, and performance optimization.\n\nTechnical Skills: \nExpert proficiency in Python and PySpark.\nHands-on experience with ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.\nExperience building end-to-end ML pipelines and MLOps workflows.\nFamiliarity with large-scale data platforms and distributed computing environments.\nExperience with SQL and modern data engineering ecosystems.\n\nBFSI / Life Insurance Domain: \nStrong understanding of Life Insurance business processes: Underwriting, Claims Management, Policy Servicing, Risk Assessment, Customer Retention and Persistency.\nExperience building solutions for: Fraud Detection, Customer Segmentation, Churn Prediction, Pricing and Risk Analytics.\nUnderstanding of regulatory, governance, and compliance requirements within Insurance and BFSI.\n\nPreferred Background: \nHands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, Fine-Tuning, and AI Copilots.\nExposure to agentic AI frameworks, autonomous workflows, and multi-agent systems.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership
