Whether in the field or the office, our teams are united by a shared commitment to innovation, safety, and delivering exceptional results for our clients.\nPosition Summary\nB&S Site Development is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team. This role is ideal for an early-career professional with 1-5 years of experience in civil construction, site development, earthwork, utilities, grading, and related infrastructure projects. The Junior Estimator will support the estimating team in preparing competitive bids, analyzing project documents, performing quantity takeoffs, and coordinating with operations teams to ensure accurate project pricing.\nA bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred. Experience with AGTEK software is highly desired but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to build a career in heavy civil construction.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and project bid documents.\nPerform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, grading, paving, and site development scopes.\nAssist in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.\nUtilize estimating software and spreadsheets to develop pricing models and track costs.\nSupport senior estimators in subcontractor and vendor solicitation efforts.\nAnalyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.\nCoordinate with project managers, field operations, and business development teams during the bidding process.\nAssist in identifying project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.\nParticipate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project handoff meetings.\nMaintain bid files, historical cost data, and estimating databases.\nHelp evaluate actual project costs against estimate assumptions for continuous improvement.\nEnsure all bids comply with company standards, client requirements, and deadlines.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.\n1-5 years of estimating, field engineering, project engineering, construction management, or related heavy civil construction experience.\nStrong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.\nProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.\nStrong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nPreferred\nCivil Engineering degree.\nExperience with AGTEK earthwork modeling and takeoff software.\nExperience with HCSS, Bluebeam, Trimble Business Center, Bid2Win, or similar estimating platforms.\nKnowledge of site development, excavation, grading, underground utilities, paving, and heavy civil construction.\nInternship or prior experience with a site contractor, heavy civil contractor, or engineering firm.\nWhy join us:\nCompetitive Salary & Benefits: We offer a competitive salary along with health insurance, retirement plans, and performance bonuses.\nCareer Advancement: We are committed to the growth and development of our employees, offering training programs and opportunities for career progression.\nChallenging and Rewarding Work: Lead diverse and impactful projects that challenge your skills and expertise.\nState-of-the-Art Equipment: Work with the latest machinery and technology in the construction industry.\nStrong Safety Culture: We prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees with regular training and strict safety protocols.\nWhat we offer:\n Health, Life, Dental and Vision Insurance\n401(k) Plan -
