Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Fraud Technology team is seeking an experienced, hands-on Software Engineer III to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade applications while providing technical leadership through the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud technologies, and Agile delivery, along with proven design, mentoring, and delivery leadership skills. This individual is expected to remain actively involved in coding, debugging, code reviews, solution design, and production troubleshooting.\nThis role provides technical leadership and engineering oversight for critical real-time fraud detection solutions that evaluate New Account applications for credit cards, deposits, vehicle loans & investment accounts across multiple Lines of Businesses.\nResponsibilities:\nCodes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements\nDesigns, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained\nMentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack\nExecutes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle\nPerforms spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas\nAutomates manual release activities\nDesigns, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)\nLead the design & development of complex applications involving API’s, messaging & streaming solutions, AI machine learning models, NoSql & graph databases and external vendor integrations\nPartner with fraud strategies department to understand fraud prevention business requirements to design scalable solutions & flexible solutions to fight rapidly evolving fraud\nBackend java application development, API and system integration, real-time decisioning, and fraud detection capabilities across New Account Opening flows.\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of Java development experience, recent hands-on Java/Spring Boot experience and be capable of contributing directly to complex development and troubleshooting activities\nStrong hands-on Java development experience; Java 17+ preferred, with experience in Java 8/11/17+ environments\nSpring Boot and Spring Framework; REST APIs and Microservices Architecture\nSQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL\nKafka, MQ, or other messaging platforms\nDesired Qualifications:\nOAuth2, JWT, SSO, Spring Security, and application security\nMonitoring/observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics\nSkills:\nApplication Development\nAutomation\nInfluence\nSolution Design\nTechnical Strategy Development\nArchitecture\nBusiness Acumen\nDevOps Practices\nResult Orientation\nSolution Delivery Process\nAnalytical Thinking\nCollaboration\nData Management\nRisk Management\nTest Engineering\nShift:\n1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week:\n40Pay Transparency details\nUS - NJ - Pennington - 1500 American Blvd - Hopewell Bldg 5 (NJ2150)Pay and benefits informationPay range$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.Discretionary incentive eligibleThis role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
