Join us!\nJob Description:\nThis job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Software Engineer II serves as a key technical contributor for the EIT Core Automation Platform (ECAP), responsible for developing, integrating, and supporting automation solutions that enable platform stability, scalability, and delivery of strategic initiatives.\nWorking closely with technology leadership, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and offshore teams, this role translates business requirements into technical solutions, drives engineering best practices, and supports execution of the ECAP roadmap.\nThis position provides critical technical expertise and delivery support for a highly visible platform that serves as a foundational automation capability across EIT. The role supports platform stability, modernization initiatives, migration efforts, and successful execution of business and technology objectives.\nResponsibilities:\nCodes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements\nUtilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements\nPerforms Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities\nContributes to story refinement and definition of requirements\nParticipates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle\nContributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause\nPerforms spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas\nDesign, develop, test, and support scalable Python-based solutions for ECAP.\nCollaborate with Product Owners, architects, stakeholders, and development teams to deliver business solutions.\nProvide technical leadership, mentoring, and delivery guidance across distributed teams.\nLead solution reviews, code reviews, performance tuning, and adherence to engineering standards.\nDevelop and support integrations using Python, REST APIs, Kafka, SQL, and distributed platform technologies.\nSupport production stability, incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.\nParticipate in story refinement, estimation, sprint planning, and Agile delivery activities.\nConduct spikes, proof-of-concepts, and technical evaluations to mitigate risk and support future platform capabilities.\nRequired Qualifications:\n3+ years of applicable experience\nExperience designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise-scale applications.\nHands-on Python development experience.\nExperience developing and consuming REST APIs.\nExperience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.\nStrong SQL skills and experience with large-scale data platforms such as Starburst/Trino.\nExperience with OpenShift, Redis, and object storage technologies.\nExperience with Git, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes.\nExperience working in Agile teams and supporting production environments.\nStrong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical leadership skills.\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience supporting platform modernization, migration, and integration initiatives.\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development tools and emerging technologies.\nProven ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive solutions from concept to implementation.\nStrong mentoring, collaboration, and
