Investigates and identifies strategies to optimize business operations and services, and inform business decisions. Defines business requirements to inform technology build and operations by sourcing and analyzing relevant data, reviewing and documenting business processes and collaborating with business stakeholders. Sources business and market data to evaluate the effect of projects on business results. Also assesses the efficiency and the performance of technology (software, hardware and the wider IT system) to deliver expected business results. Identifies and analyzes malfunctions, system workflow, and troubleshoots issues raised by business.

The focus for this opportunity will be on the following:

• Power BI Reporting & Dashboard Support Experience creating and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, including data preparation, visualization development, DAX calculations, report publishing, and troubleshooting reporting issues.
• Microsoft Power Automate Experience with Power Automate to create and support workflows, notifications, approvals, automated reporting processes, and integration with SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Power BI, and Power Apps.
• Microsoft Power Apps Experience developing and maintaining Power Apps solutions, including forms, data entry applications, and integrations with SharePoint, Excel, and Power Automate.
• Python & SQL Data Analysis Experience with SQL and Python for data extraction, cleansing, analysis, reporting, and automation of recurring reporting and data management tasks.

• Elicits requirements and analyzes feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes.
• Supports various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements.
• Develops informative, coherent, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Applies depth of domain & functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value.
• Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
• Builds tests cases to validate business requirements and End-User Testing results.
• Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
• Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

• Time Management & Prioritization - Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and ad hoc reporting requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Business Acumen - Understanding of business processes, KPIs, and organizational objectives to align reporting with strategic goals.
• Adaptability & Continuous Learning - Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and reporting methodologies in a rapidly evolving analytics environment.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
