The team provides regulatory and operational advisory support to business partners and the frontline, develops practical tools, guidance, and training programs to support the effective execution of policies and procedures, and promotes a strong culture of compliance and risk management.\nThis role designs, develops, implements, tests, measures, and manages mutual fund dealer processes, ensuring process design reflects business strategy, regulatory requirements, stakeholder needs, and the desired client experience. The role requires a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape, including CIRO Mutual Fund Dealer Rules and other applicable regulatory obligations. Responsibilities include leading regulatory change and implementation, supporting audits and reviews, driving remediation of regulatory and operational issues, delivering process enhancements, developing and maintaining dealer programs, and providing data-driven metrics and reporting to support oversight and decision-making. Processes may relate to operations, service, sales, supervision, and other dealer activities.\nActs as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.\nInfluences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.\nRecommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.\nIdentifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.\nConducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.\nSupports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.\nBuilds effective relationships and collaborates with internal/external stakeholders.\nEnsures alignment between stakeholders.\nMonitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.\nDesigns and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.\nBreaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.\nBuilds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.\nLeads or participates in defining the change/communication plan designed to positively influence or change behaviour; develops tailored messaging; and identifies appropriate distribution channels.\nDesigns and provides input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.\nDevelops and documents processes, procedures, etc. and/ or end-user materials.\nAssists with the documentation of end user materials.\nDesigns training and support materials for front-line users to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and governance processes.\nAssists with training and transition of processes and tools/templates to appropriate process owners.\nCollaborates in the design, implementation and management of core business/group processes.\nDesigns processes based on business requirements and best practices. Ensures the processes adhere to applicable risk, regulatory and compliance requirements.\nStreamlines, simplifies and continuously improves existing processes.\nDocuments processes (including, but not limited to, process flows, playbooks, etc.) for vetting, communicating, and implementing processes with stakeholders.\nEnsures all processes meet established standards, effectively utilize templates and tools to track compliance and operational effectiveness standards.\nLooks for opportunities to eliminate, simplify and automate processes. Recommends approaches or changes to streamline and integrate processes to improve overall efficiency.\nMaintains current process documentation to ensure available for stakeholders as required.\nSupports management of processes using established methodologies and tools/system/technology.\nIntegrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.\nParticipates in the integration of Core Process transformation across business/groups to deliver process improvements for productivity savings and enhanced customer/employee experience.\nDevelops an understanding of organizational interactions and complexity to engage with the appropriate stakeholders.\nResolves issues regarding processes that are raised from all sources/stakeholders.\nProvides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.\nExercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.\nWorks independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.\nBroader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.\nQualifications:\nTypically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in mutual fund dealer governance, regulatory compliance, operations, process management, risk management, or a related field, and a post-secondary degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nStrong knowledge of the Canadian securities regulatory environment, including CIRO Mutual Fund Dealer Rules, National Instruments, and applicable regulatory requirements.\nExperience interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into business processes, policies, procedures, controls, training, and operational guidance.\nExperience leading or supporting regulatory change implementation, remediation initiatives, regulatory examinations, audits, and issue management activities.\nExperience working with regulatory findings, corrective action plans, remediation programs, and regulatory reporting to senior management and governance committees.\nKnowledge of business analysis, process design, and project delivery practices across the project lifecycle. (In-depth)\nKnowledge of mutual fund dealer processes, supervision frameworks, operational controls, and governance practices. (In-depth)\nAbility to provide advisory support and influence business partners, frontline teams, and stakeholders on regulatory and operational matters.\nExperience developing training, guidance materials, job aids, and tools to support policy and procedure execution.\nStrong understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, and control frameworks.
