As a Senior Data Engineer, you will own the data flows that turn customer activities into cashback, challenge progress and loyalty points. This is a greenfield build: you will shape the architecture, not just maintain it.\n\nWhat you’ll do\n\nBuild the real-time core\n\nDesign, build and run real-time Python pipelines that consume events from Kafka and apply campaign rules: customer eligibility, reward caps and frequency limits.\n\nOwn the progress store and points ledger in PostgreSQL, the CDC streams around them, and the second stage that grants rewards and sends notifications to DSK Mobile.\n\nMake every reward correct by design: idempotent processing, full traceability back to the transaction that earned it, and clean handling of reversals and refunds.\n\nKeep the numbers right\n\nBuild the reconciliation process against our golden source, the transaction tables in DWH / Databricks\n\nDevelop batch processes in Databricks, dbt and Apache Airflow: daily customer eligibility, aggregates and history.\n\nMonitor latency, errors and lost events, set up alerting and resolve incidents.\n\nMake campaigns fast to launch\n\nTurn new campaigns into configuration and grow a library of reward mechanics – capped cashback, monthly challenges, boosted partner cashback – so the program team can launch without new code.\n\nPlug new data sources into the engine and maintain the engagement and reward catalogs.\n\nPower the business\n\nPrepare data models and logs for Power BI reporting, campaign performance analysis, complaint handling, and partner invoicing and commissions.\n\nWrite tests and technical documentation for every pipeline and configuration.\n\nHelp shape the rewards platform architecture and technology choices.\n\nWhat you bring\n\n3+ years as a Data Engineer or data pipeline developer.\n\nProduction-grade Python.\n\nAdvanced SQL and hands-on PostgreSQL.\n\nGit and CI/CD as part of your daily workflow.\n\nA university degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.\n\nGood English, written and spoken.\n\nOwnership and initiative: you are comfortable in a new team where not everything is defined yet.\n\nNice to have\n\nApache Kafka or other event streaming.\n\nDatabricks / Apache Spark.\n\ndbt and Apache Airflow.\n\nPower BI.\n\nExperience in banking, fintech or loyalty programs.\n\nWhat we offer\n\nA greenfield build.
