Here you will be empowered to make an impact every day.\nIn this role you will get the chance to work directly under the supervision of the Chief of Internal Audit and get the opportunity to put your mark on the further development of the team. You will cooperate with business areas across the organisation, when coordinating and executing Internal Audit activities. You will be conducting risk-based internal audits on key activities of the bank, including financial and operational domains.\nWe offer a hybrid work model for our employees to allow for flexibility and productivity. However, we do expect you to spend most of your time in the office to build community and efficiency in the team.\nExciting work is waiting for you\nContinuous improvement of the audit process and function\nConduct risk-based internal audits on key business activities\nEnsure, track and monitor appropriate follow-up actions\nIdentifying areas of risk, deficiencies in controls and make recommendations\nDraft reports and confirm all findings with relevant stakeholders, including our executive management\nThings we’ll look for on your resume\nWe are looking for a hands-on Senior Internal Auditor with strong business-audit expertise, a delivery-focused mindset and the confidence to challenge established practices and recommend practical improvements. You will bring minimum 7 years of relevant internal and/or external audit experience, preferably within banking, payments or financial services, with demonstrated experience assessing business processes, governance, risk management and internal controls\nExperience auditing AML/CTF frameworks and controls is particularly important. This should ideally include customer onboarding and due diligence, KYC, customer risk assessment, transaction monitoring, sanctions and screening, suspicious activity escalation and reporting, and the governance and oversight of financial crime risk. Broader exposure to operational, financial, compliance or regulatory audits-including areas such as payments, PSD2 or MiCA-would be an advantage.\nYou hold a relevant degree (BSc level as a minimum) in accounting, auditing, finance, business management or a related discipline. A recognised professional qualification, such as CIA, CPA/CA, ACCA or equivalent, is preferred. You are analytical, quality-oriented and accountable, with sound professional judgement, strong report-writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly and constructively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management. You are also a dependable, collaborative and knowledge-sharing team member.\nThe position is based at Banking Circle’s head office in Luxembourg, with some travel expected to our branches or subsidiaries.\nBanking Circle is an international company.
