Join our Workforce Planning team on a 13-month secondment and build valuable experience across scheduling, reporting, workforce insights and stakeholder engagement.

Workforce Planning supports customer and operational teams across Bankwest.

We bring together expected customer demand, colleague availability, leave, training and business changes to create practical workforce plans and schedules. Our team also manages Bankwest’s Verint WFM environment, maintaining workforce configurations and supporting feature updates, system maintenance and ongoing improvements. We provide leaders with clear insights, maintain accurate workforce information and improve the processes and tools that support our teams.

As part of a small and collaborative team, you’ll work closely with business leaders and other Workforce Management teams. The work is varied and gives you exposure to how staffing decisions, customer service and colleague experience come together.

Do work that matters

As a Workforce Planning Analyst, you will:

· Build and maintain fair, workable schedules that balance customer demand, service goals, leave, training, meetings and colleague development.

· Work with leaders to understand upcoming changes, assess workforce impacts and recommend practical options.

· Coordinate activities such as training, upskilling, public holiday coverage, roster changes and colleague movements.

· Prepare regular staffing reports and planning packs, highlighting important trends, risks, gaps and actions.

· Support workload forecasts and staffing plans by reviewing demand, available staffing, absence, colleague skills and upcoming business activity.

· Keep colleague, skill, roster and schedule information accurate in workforce planning systems.

· Maintain and update configurations within Verint WFM to support changing business, colleague and scheduling requirements.

· Support Verint WFM feature updates, system maintenance and continuous improvements, including testing changes and helping resolve system or configuration issues.

· Respond to workforce requests through the team’s support hub, keep stakeholders informed and take requests through to completion.

· Follow agreed processes and controls, identify risks or data issues and escalate them when needed.

· Contribute to projects and improvements that make planning simpler, more consistent and easier for colleagues and leaders to use.

· Work closely with other planners, share knowledge and help the team manage changing priorities.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

· Have experience coordinating work, people, schedules, reporting or activities in an operational or customer-focused environment.

· Are comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets and reports and can explain what the information means in plain language.

· Are organised, accurate and able to manage several priorities and deadlines.

· Communicate clearly and build productive relationships with people at different levels.

· Use practical judgement and consider the impact of decisions on customers, colleagues and the business.

· Are confident explaining their thinking and making recommendations to leaders.

· Take ownership, ask questions and follow work through to completion.

· Are curious and willing to learn new systems, processes and ways of working.

· Enjoy working as part of a team and supporting others when priorities change.

· Exposure to rostering, workforce planning, reporting or business systems would be an advantage, but we’re also interested in people who are comfortable learning new tools and processes.

This role would suit someone who enjoys organising moving parts, getting into the detail and helping others make informed decisions.
