This role will focus on partnering with operating and finance colleagues to support high-quality software businesses owned by Banyan Software.\nThe position is ideal for an individual with the interest and aptitude to be involved in all aspects of financial operations, including revenue recognition, accounts payable and expenses, cash management, financial reporting and analysis, and systems. This finance group also aims to play a “value-added” role by leveraging financial and other data to drive shareholder value.\nResponsibilities:\nPrepare timely and accurate GAAP financial statements, board reporting, budgets, and KPIsof operating companies to drive growth and smart decision-making.\n\nPerform quality assurance on finance and accounting work products (e.g., reviewing GLpostings for accuracy, monitoring revenue recognition, refining variance explanations in\nreporting).\n\nContribute to the operational performance of operating companies through analysis ofbudget-to-actuals, benchmarking against portfolio, operational revenue and expense\nanalysis, and insights that further facilitate decision-making.\n\nPartner with M&A colleagues and support the operational/financial integration of acquisitions\nImplement process improvement initiatives contemplated in M&A business cases.\nDevelop ad hoc reports & dashboards to help CEOs with monitoring their businesses.\nDocument Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to promote best practices and efficiency across the portfolio\nProvide financial advice and guidance to the business as requested.d \n\nQualifications for success:\nThe ideal candidate for the role will possess the following characteristics:\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in a finance/accounting role\nQualification / part-qualification from a recognised financial / accounting body\nSolid working knowledge of accounting principles and practices\nExperience with financial systems, particularly Oracle NetSuite, would be an asset\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.\nHighly motivated and energetic with interest in entrepreneurship, software, and finance\nFluent in German and English\nThe expected base salary for this position is: €80,000 - €85,000 excluding annual bonus and equity (when applicable).
