The Finance Manager is an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team and plays a pivotal role in driving the School’s strategic development. The Finance Manager will be expected to help the school maintain its exceptional standards, whilst propelling its unique vision to greater heights.\n\nJob Purpose\n\nFinance Manager will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Finance Department, which includes and is not limited to fee billing, procurement, payroll and all statutory payments.\n\nFinance Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that the school remains compliant with Zambia’s financial regulators.\n\nMain Duties\n\nPrepare the annual budget for review by the Principal and the Board of Governors’ Finance Committee.\n\nProduce the statutory accounts of the school and oversee all audits.\n\nChart a financial course aligned with the Strategic Plan to support the school’s growth and occasionally spearhead fundraising initiatives.\n\nAreas of responsibility outside of finance include estate management, health and safety as well as commercial activities.\n\nReporting Line\n\nReports directly to the Principal and ultimately to the Board of Governors.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nA postgraduate degree in finance or a related field.\n\nA member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.\n\nA professional qualification from ZICA, ACCA or CIMA.\n\nMinimum Experience\n\nA minimum of 7 years’ experience in a senior leadership position.\n\nProven ability to manage budgets and fundraise.\n\nExperience of working within a leadership role responsible for strategic planning, administration, financial management and project management.\n\nKnowledge of Zambian financial laws, regulations and compliance.\n\nWell-developed IT skills (MS Office and financial systems).\n\nExperience in managing a diverse and multicultural staff team.\n\nHow to Apply\n\nIf you are ready to make a significant impact in shaping the future of Baobab College and leading a dedicated team to success, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity as our Finance Manager.\n\nApplicants should submit a letter of application and CV, together with the names of three referees, to:\n\nThe Chair of the Board of Governors\n\nEmail: \n\nApplication Deadline: Friday, 30 October 2026.\n\nBaobab College reserves the right to appoint a candidate before the closing date if a suitable candidate is found early.\n\nBaobab College will only communicate with candidates who are shortlisted for interview.
