This position is also responsible for testing and reporting any issues or problems with the sterilization equipment, preparation and delivery of all necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries, examinations, medical procedures, and medical carts. This position involves two separate areas of Central Sterile Services; Decontamination and Processing. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.Education / Experience:High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience in medical supply, surgical instruments, and equipment preferred.\nLicense / Certification: None required\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nKnowledge of communication skills, written and oral.\nMust have organizational, telephone and computer skills.\nMust be able to follow written, oral or electronic instructions.Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:\nPosition requires sitting for 5% of the workday and mobility 90% of the workday. Stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching 5%.\nThere is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action.\nRequires occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds.\nThere is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.\nContinuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Minimal noise levels.\nMuch exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.\nSome exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.\nSome exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation. Position is subject to heat, wetness, noise vibrations, and atmospheric conditions, including gases, odors and dust. Frequent exposure to outdoors.
