As a member of this team, the main duties will be to clean and sanitize all areas of the hospital including patient rooms, offices, waiting areas, and meeting rooms.\nThe Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role performs daily cleaning and disinfection tasks, supports infection prevention efforts, and ensures timely room turnover to promote patient flow. As a key member of the healthcare team, the EVS Technician contributes to quality care, patient safety, and an exceptional patient experience while providing courteous service to all individuals within the facility.\nJob Description:\nClean, disinfect, and maintain patient rooms, common areas, and assigned equipment according to healthcare and infection prevention standards.\n\nPerform occupied, discharge, and transfer room cleaning to support patient safety and timely room turnover.\n\nFollow all infection prevention, safety, and PPE protocols while properly handling waste and hazardous materials.\n\nMaintain cleaning equipment, carts, and supplies in accordance with department standards.\n\nIdentify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.\n\nAssist with training and mentoring new EVS team members as assigned.\n\nComplete required documentation accurately and participate in quality improvement initiatives.\n\nAttend department meetings, huddles, and team activities to support patient experience and operational excellence.\n\nPerform specialty cleaning and other Environmental Services duties as assigned.\n\nRequirements\n No prior experience is required;
