EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas.\nRequirements:\nEnsuring timely room turns related to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention.\nEmpties trash, cleans trash can as needed, relines can with clean liner.\nRemoves infectious waste and fills sharps containers as needed.\nDamp dusts furniture, ledges, and fixtures with a germicidal agent.\nDry mops, wet mops floors and vacuums carpeting.\nHigh dust vents, over bed lights and other items over shoulder height.\nOperates several types of vacuum cleaners and other miscellaneous cleaning tools.\nExpected at times to wear personal protection equipment to include rubber gloves, eye protection, gowns, booties, masks, and hair covers.\nOther duties as assigned such as performing alternate EVS aid responsibilities as needed.\nEssential Qualifications:\nPrefer completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.\nSafely and properly lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.\nSafely and properly pull, push, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch and stretch.\nBenefits: Full-Time 32 weekly hours (0.8 FTE) -
