Techno-Functional Business Analyst for the trade execution platform, providing functional and technical analysis across the trade execution lifecycle.\nWork closely with Dealers, RMS, Broking Operations, Technology, Infrastructure, Information Security, exchanges and external vendors to understand requirements and translate them into implementable solutions.\nUnderstand and document end-to-end flows covering order capture, order validation, order routing, exchange connectivity, trade confirmation and downstream hand-off to post-trade systems.\nGather and analyse business, regulatory and technology requirements and translate them into BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, interface requirements and acceptance criteria.\nPerform As-Is/To-Be and gap analysis, assess solution impacts and identify dependencies across upstream and downstream applications and interfaces.\nAnalyse application and interface issues using SQL/data analysis, logs, files and system flows, working with development and vendor teams to identify root causes and drive resolution.\nSupport integrations and connectivity with relevant NSE/BSE trading infrastructure and downstream broking systems.\nOwn functional analysis for regulatory/exchange-mandated changes, business enhancements, technology upgrades and control remediation impacting the trade execution platform.\nDefine test scenarios and acceptance criteria and support SIT, UAT, regression testing, production sanity validation and business sign-off.\nSupport production releases, incidents and problem investigations, including impact analysis, root-cause analysis and remediation tracking.\nCoordinate with development, QA, production support and vendor teams throughout the full SDLC, from requirement definition through to production implementation.\nMaintain appropriate documentation and evidence to support risk, control, audit and governance requirements for a regulated trading platform.\nTo be successful in this role, you should:\nHave a strong understanding of capital markets and equity broking, particularly front-office order and trade execution.\nHave a good functional understanding of the order-to-trade lifecycle, including order placement, validations, routing, exchange execution, trade confirmations and post-trade interfaces.\nBe able to bridge the gap between business users and technical teams, translating trading requirements into detailed system requirements.\nHave strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to investigate data, interfaces and application behaviour rather than limiting the role to documentation.\nHave working knowledge of SQL, databases, file/interface-based integrations, application logs and data reconciliation.\nHave a good understanding of APIs/interfaces, batch and real-time integrations, Linux/Unix environments and application architecture.\nDemonstrate strong stakeholder and vendor management skills, with the ability to work across Front Office, Operations, Technology, Risk and Control.\nBe able to operate effectively in a regulated, business-critical trading environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.\nHave strong written and verbal communication skills, with disciplined documentation and attention to detail.\nEssential Skills/Basic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Management or a related discipline.\nRelevant experience as a Business Analyst/Techno-Functional Analyst in Capital Markets, Securities, Broking or Trading Technology.\nHands-on experience working with trade execution, Order Management Systems (OMS) or trading platforms.\nStrong knowledge of the equity trading lifecycle and Indian capital markets.\nWorking knowledge of SQL and relational databases, with the ability to analyse transactional data.\nExperience preparing BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, test scenarios and acceptance criteria.\nExperience supporting SIT/UAT, production releases and incident/problem analysis.\nEffective stakeholder management across business and technology teams.\nDesirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications:\nPrior hands-on experience with NEST/Omnesys NEST or a comparable broker trade execution/OMS platform.\nKnowledge of NSE and BSE trading environments, exchange connectivity and trading terminals.\nFamiliarity with NEAT/BOLT or equivalent exchange trading systems.\nUnderstanding of RMS controls, trading limits, margins and pre-trade validations.\nExposure to FIX/API-based exchange or trading-system integration.\nUnderstanding of Cash Equity and Equity Derivatives (F&O) products and workflows.\nExperience with Linux/Unix, Oracle/SQL databases, logs, interfaces and production troubleshooting.\nUnderstanding of downstream trade settlement/back-office systems and interfaces between front-office execution and post-trade platforms.\nExposure to SEBI and exchange-driven technology/regulatory changes, audit requirements and control frameworks.\nExperience working with third-party product/vendor teams and managing requirements through implementation.\nYou may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as:\nCapital Markets & Broking Domain Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate an end-to-end understanding of order and trade execution.\nTechno-Functional Capability: Ability to analyse a business problem at both functional and system/data levels.\nNEST/OMS Expertise: Understanding of front-office trading platforms, order workflows, exchange connectivity and RMS.\nBusiness Analysis: Quality of requirements, process mapping, impact analysis, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.\nSQL & Data Analysis: Ability to query and analyse transaction, order and trade data to investigate issues and validate changes.\nProblem Solving: Ability to investigate production issues, establish root causes and translate findings into sustainable remediation.\nTesting & Delivery: Effectiveness in defining scenarios, supporting SIT/UAT, managing defects and validating production releases.\nRegulatory & Control Awareness: Ability to translate regulatory/exchange requirements into system
