Purpose of the role

To lead and manage engineering teams, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, driving technical excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.

Accountabilities

• Lead engineering teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture to achieve project goals and meet organizational objectives.
• Oversee timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritization to ensure the successful delivery of solutions within scope, time, and budget.
• Mentor and support team members' professional growth, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluation and enhancement of engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize team productivity.
• Collaboration with business partners, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
• Enforcement of technology standards, facilitate peer reviews, and implement robust testing practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.

You will harness cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our digital solutions.Lead multiple full-stack engineering teams delivering customer-facing and core banking capabilities. Accountable for engineering strategy, delivery execution, engineering excellence, people leadership, architecture governance, and AI-enabled productivity improvements across the software development lifecycle.

To be successful as an Engineering Manager VP , you should have experience with:

• Own end-to-end delivery across multiple feature teams.

• Ensure delivery against business outcomes, OKRs, and strategic priorities.

• Govern engineering metrics including velocity, predictability, quality, deployment frequency, and operational stability.

• Manage delivery risks, dependencies, technical debt, incidents, and production support.

• Provide technical leadership across front-end, back-end, API, integration, and cloud technologies.

• Drive architecture reviews and ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable.

• Promote reusable platforms, frameworks, and engineering standards.

• Guide teams on modern engineering practices and technology adoption.

• Drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices across teams.

• Leverage tools such as Copilot, Claude, and enterprise AI platforms to improve productivity.

• Enable AI-assisted code generation, testing, impact analysis, documentation, and knowledge management.

• Establish and govern standards across design, development, testing, DevOps, security, and reliability engineering.
