Job Description

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

Join us as an HR Technology Operations Analyst at Barclays, where you will leverage technology, data and automation to improve the effectiveness of our HR Technology engineering function. You will support delivery reporting, governance, operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives across our platforms and integration landscape, helping to drive greater visibility, efficiency and control for our customers and colleagues.

To be successful as HR Technology Operations Analyst you should have:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting - Ability to produce meaningful management information, dashboards and delivery insights using tools such as Excel, Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow.

  • Stakeholder Management & Communication - Ability to coordinate across software development teams, delivery leads, architects and business stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement - Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement process, tooling or reporting improvements.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Knowledge of Software Delivery Lifecycles - Understanding of Agile, SDLC and software development practices.

  • Automation & Tooling Experience - Experience automating reporting, workflows or administrative activities.

  • Technology Change or PMO Support Experience - Previous experience supporting technology portfolios, governance forums, reporting cycles or change initiatives.
