Job Description

Purpose of the role

To develop and manage the success of specific financial products and services, providing in-depth expertise on a particular product line, bridging the gap between product development, marketing, sales, and customer service.

Accountabilities

  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance.
  • Identification of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.
  • Response to customer inquiries, resolution of issues, and provision of guidance on product usage. .
  • Presentation of the advantages and features of the product to potential customers, building trust and encouraging adoption.
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as brochures, presentations, and online content.
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Participation in events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to showcase the product and generate interest.

Assistant Vice President Expectations

  • To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes

  • OR for an individual contributor, they will lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusion of other areas of specialisation to complete assignments. They will identify new directions for assignments and/ or projects, identifying a combination of cross functional methodologies or practices to meet required outcomes.
  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.

We are seeking a commercially minded and analytical AssistantVice President to join the Liquidity Portfolio & Pricing Management team.

This role sits at the heart of portfolio strategy, pricing, and balance sheet optimisation, supporting the delivery of sustainable income growth while ensuring alignment with regulatory and funding objectives. Working closely with Product, Treasury, Coverage, Sales and Risk teams, you will analyse portfolio performance, influence pricing decisions, develop optimisation strategies and provide insight that supports senior business decision-making.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with liquidity management or transaction banking experience who enjoys combining data-driven analysis with strategic stakeholder engagement.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and identify commercial opportunities.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Knowledge of liquidity management products, with exposure to transaction banking products.
  • Understanding of financial markets, market dynamics and competitor landscapes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience presenting complex information and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams while managing competing priorities.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience within portfolio management, pricing, balance sheet optimisation or treasury-related functions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory liquidity frameworks and deposit management.
  • Experience using Tableau, coding languages, AI tools or advanced analytics solutions.
  • Professional qualification or degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business or a related discipline (e.g. ACT, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience within Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking or Cash Management environments
