Develop the support model and service offering to improve the service to customers and stakeholders.\nExecution of preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software and utilisation of monitoring tools/metrics to identify, prevent and address potential issues and ensure optimal performance.\nMaintenance of a knowledge base containing detailed documentation of resolved cases for future reference, self-service opportunities and knowledge sharing.\nAnalysis of system logs, error messages and user reports to identify the root causes of hardware, software and network issues, and providing a resolution to these issues by fixing or replacing faulty hardware components, reinstalling software, or applying configuration changes.\nAutomation, monitoring enhancements, capacity management, resiliency, business continuity management, front office specific support and stakeholder management.\nIdentification and remediation or raising, through appropriate process, of potential service impacting risks and issues.\nProactively assess support activities implementing automations where appropriate to maintain stability and drive efficiency. In this role, you will be part of the Shared Services team, which underpins critical functions across risk, pricing, trading, and settlement within Markets. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production systems and delivering a high level of service to business users. In addition, you will apply sound software engineering principles to reduce repetitive manual effort (toil) and improve service reliability. You will also drive stabilization projects, supporting business continuity, and leading risk and control activities in close collaboration with Build the Bank and business stakeholders.\nTo be successful as a Senior Production Support Engineer - AVP, you should have:\nConsiderable practical technical expertise with high proficiency in SQL, database technologies, Unix, and Windows environments, primarily within the investment banking domain\n\nSolid understanding of ITIL concepts and best practices, with experience using configuration management tools and reporting (preferred tool: Service First)\n\nExperience working with Autosys, middleware technologies, and messaging platforms such as MQ and Solace\n\nProven ability to build and maintain monitoring tools, including ITRS and AppDynamics\n\nExperience supporting front-office and trading applications within investment banking environments\n\nOther highly valued skills include:\nAmple understanding of various asset classes, including Macro, Structured Products (SP), Credit, Bonds, and Equities\n\nExperience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and CloudWatch, along with familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles\n\nPractical experience with observability and performance monitoring tools like AppDynamics (AppD), eSaaS, and Observe for root cause analysis\n\nYou may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.\nThis role is located in our Whippany, NJ office.\nMinimum Salary: $115,000\nMaximum Salary: $160,000\nThe minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate.
