In this role, you will engineer and operate the resilient, secure, and scalable infrastructure underpinning Barclays’ next generation of Digital Asset Technology, with responsibility spanning cloud platforms, production reliability, CI/CD infrastructure, security automation, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.\nTo be successful as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - VP, you should have:\nA proven success of building and running highly available cloud and infrastructure platforms, including on-call duties, incident response, disaster simulations, contingency planning, and recovery testing\nExperience building and maintaining deployment and operational infrastructure, such as CI/CD platforms, source code hosting, development tooling, and infrastructure automation, and supporting specialized infrastructure across cloud and colocation environments\nDemonstrated ownership of security and service infrastructure, using ample Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate provisioning, access and security controls, cloud security posture, and organization-wide technology policies, and leading CI/CD incident response to protect critical deployment pipelines\nA commitment to continuously strengthening service reliability, observability, performance, capacity, and resilience, using automation, monitoring, and metrics to find and fix operational weaknesses\nThe ability to work closely with engineering, architecture, cyber security, infrastructure, risk, and operations teams to build reliability and operational resilience by design into every stage of the Digital Asset Technology platform lifecycle\nOther highly valued skills include:\nHands-on experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms, Kubernetes, containers, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management, including operating hybrid infrastructure across public cloud, enterprise, and colocation environments\nProven expertise in CI/CD engineering, Git-based source control, secrets and certificate management, infrastructure access controls, and automated security controls\nA solid working knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, incident management, disaster recovery, capacity management, and production engineering\nFamiliarity with Digital Asset Technology infrastructure, such as blockchain/DLT nodes, validators, RPC infrastructure, wallets, HSM/MPC services, and cryptographic key-management infrastructure\nA foundation in distributed systems, network reliability, secure engineering, automation, and production operations within highly regulated environments\nYou may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.\nThis role is located in our Whippany, NJ office.\nMinimum Salary: $170,000\nMaximum Salary: $230,000\nThe minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate.
