The Site Engineer will establish the level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made regularly.\nKey Responsibilities\nHealth, safety & environment\nPromote the Barhale Cardinal Rules and establish safe working cultures and practices\nComply with company procedures and legal obligations\nPromote and comply with environmental compliance\nDeliver the works safely\nQuality\nPromote best practice\nComply with company procedures\nEnsure work is delivered defect/snag-free\nEndeavour to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities\nSite engineering\nEstablish the level and survey control for contracts\nSet out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring checks are carried out regularly\nEnsure that records are accurate and comply with organisational and legal requirements\nResolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time\nProduce procurement schedules for the jobs and liaise with our procurement department to ensure the site has adequate resources to complete the tasks\nProduce ITPs and Task Briefings\nProduce a 2-week look-ahead in conjunction with the Site Agent\nProduce Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets\nAbout you\nEssential\nPrevious experience of setting out on civil engineering projects\nSound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations\nFully conversant with the use of robotic total station or EDM instruments\nDegree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering\nExcellent communication skills\nSelf-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook\nDesirable\nExperience in using AutoCAD and MS Office\nTemporary-works co-ordination\nCSCS card\nCable avoidance training\nFirst aid training\nNEBOSH or IOSH\nCaring and investing in you\nOur values have been embedded at Barhale for over 40 years, and they are our guiding principles regarding how we care and invest in people.
