Our Business Development Managers build and maintain relationships throughout the industry and are at the forefront of our search for challenging projects. This position is based in Bozeman, Montana, but will require travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.\nQualifications\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent industry experience will be considered. \n10+ years of experience in business development, project management, operations, estimating, or a related role within the power delivery industry. \nStrong understanding of transmission line and substation construction, utility infrastructure, and energy market dynamics. \nEstablished relationships with investor-owned utilities, public utilities, cooperatives, engineering firms, EPC contractors, developers, and other industry stakeholders. \nProven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities and convert relationships into project pursuits. \nStrong knowledge of utility procurement processes, contracting methods, and project delivery models. \nStrategic thinker with strong business acumen and market awareness. \nExceptional networking, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. \nExperience supporting prequalification and proposal development efforts. \nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments. \nStrong organizational, planning, and time management skills. \nWillingness to travel extensively throughout North America.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and execute strategic business development initiatives focused on power delivery opportunities across North America. \nBuild, strengthen, and maintain relationships with utility clients, developers, engineering firms, EPC partners, and key industry decision-makers. \nIdentify, track, and qualify upcoming transmission line, substation, renewable energy interconnection, and grid modernization projects. \nMonitor market conditions, capital improvement plans, regulatory developments, and industry trends to identify emerging opportunities. \nCollaborate with estimating, operations, and executive leadership teams to develop pursuit strategies for targeted projects. \nSupport and coordinate prequalification submissions, proposals, presentations, and interview preparations. \nRepresent Barnard at utility conferences, industry association meetings, customer events, and trade shows. \nMaintain opportunity pipelines, market intelligence, and client
