Summary: Under the general supervision of the Chief Client Growth Officer and assigned mentor, and according to established Firm policies and procedures, the Intern performs a variety of functional and administrative duties for the Firm. The Intern will work collaboratively with department team members on specific short and long-term projects related to their field of study and firm priorities. Activities will be assigned by the Chief Client Growth Officer based on business needs and learning opportunities for the Intern.

Internship Eligibility: The BT R.I.S.E. Internship Program is designed to introduce students in specified fields of study to the day-to-day operations of a law firm. Candidate’s skill, knowledge, aptitude, and education will be considered during the selection process. To be eligible candidates must:

  • Entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in the Fall of 2027.

  • Enrolled in a 2-4 year undergraduate degree program at time of internship

  • Available to participate for 10 consecutive weeks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with drafting, editing and proofreading external communications, including announcements, newsletters, invitations and other marketing materials.

  • Assist with gathering and organizing content for the firm's website, social media channels and other communications platforms.

  • Conduct basic research to identify relevant news, legal developments, awards, rankings and other opportunities for attorney and practice group visibility.

  • Assist with social media and digital marketing activities, including gathering content and supporting the development of posts.

  • Help coordinate communications related to firm events, programs, webinars and other marketing initiatives.

  • Maintain organized files and records of marketing and communications materials and ensure content is current and accurate.

Team & General Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and project support to Client Growth Managers, Communications professionals and other members of the Client Growth & Marketing team.

  • Collaborate with attorneys and business professionals to gather information and support department initiatives.

  • Manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential clients, firm and attorney information.

  • Participate in special projects and other initiatives designed to support the firm's business development, marketing and communications objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program to receive college course credits.

  • Pursuing a degree in fields of study that aligns with the following departments: Human Resources, Accounting, Marketing, Information Technology, and Legal Operations.

  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when performing work functions.

  • Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors.

  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate in person, by email, phone, and virtually.

  • Ability to follow instructions effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.

  • Provide timely and accurate information with ordinary courtesy and tact.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including personal computer,

  • copiers, phones, and scanning equipment.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
