The Manufacturing Engineer will use NX CAD and SolidWorks software to create 3D solid models and associated operation sheets. The Engineer will determine the tools and specifications needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to customer requirements. The Engineer must be comfortable in a manufacturing setting and interacting with shop personnel when developing processes.\nCore Responsibilities:\nCreate 3D models of the assembly and all components in NX and or SolidWorks\nCreate operation sheets / work instructions from 3D model in NX and or SolidWorks\nOversee NX standards and configuration\nCreate routing / BOM / item cards in ERP system\nCreate milestones / project plans and make sure engineering tasks stay on track\nFollow parts through shop to make sure there are no issues\nInteract with shop personnel when developing processes\nSupport tool design as needed\nProvide support to customers/vendors on any engineering related items\nParticipate in root cause analysis and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications:\n5+ years in the aerospace industry or general manufacturing\nProficient in the use of NX CAD solid modeling software, working knowledge of Solidworks is desirable\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations\nAbility to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers\nA strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required\nExperience with Titanium, Stainless Steel and Inconel materials is a plus\nFamiliarity with industry inspection methods such as FPI, MPI, and X-ray.\nGeneral knowledge of welding methods is desirable\nPrior experience as a machinist is a plus\nComfortable with a manufacturing environment interacting with machinist on the shop floor\nExcellent communication skills are needed; both verbal and written\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline required.\nSalary: $78,000 - $121,000\nBarnes Aerospace offers eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; a Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contributions for eligible medical plan participants; flexible spending accounts (FSAs); a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions; life and disability insurance; and paid vacation and holidays.
