May recommend revisions.\nMakes analytical, experimental, and theoretical determinations of applications of quality, engineering, and technical principles.\nCreates statistical quality systems, such as SPC and trend analysis, to control and/or improve processes.\nReviews and approves nonconformances for cause, corrective action, and disposition.\nPerforms analyses of causes of nonconformances and recommends actions for reduction of such causes.\nPerforms quality audits of processes, products, and workstations within the company, and quality audits of suppliers and potential suppliers. Assists in the maintenance of the Approved Supplier List.\nPrepares, coordinates, and responds to customer audits, including providing cause and short- and long-term corrective actions. Implements corrective actions to achieve successful quality standards.\nLearns and adheres to required safety standards and practices.\nLearns and applies quality system procedures.\nQualifications:\nASQ certification is preferred.\nMinimum of five years experience in quality engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.\nKnowledge of and experience with ISO 9002 quality systems. Experience with AS9000 is beneficial.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and process sheets.\nProficiency with SPC and statistical problem solving.\nAbility to prepare manuals and technical instructions.\nProficiency with computer systems, both mainframe and PC.
