This role works closely with customers to understand project needs, identify opportunities, develop solutions, and coordinate successful project execution.\nSuccess in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively with operations and field teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.\nTravel Requirements: Travel is required for customer meetings, site visits, and business development activities.\nKey Responsibilities\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.\nIdentify opportunities for crane, rigging, and lifting services within assigned markets and accounts.\nConduct customer meetings and jobsite visits to evaluate project requirements and develop effective solutions.\nPrepare estimates, proposals, and lift plans that support safe and successful project execution.\nCollaborate with operations, dispatch, and field teams to ensure projects are properly planned and executed.\nDevelop a strong understanding of customer operations and become a trusted resource for lifting and transportation challenges.\nPresent solutions, respond to customer questions, and follow through on opportunities from initial contact to project award.\nSupport safe project execution by identifying potential risks and ensuring solutions align with operational capabilities.\nMaintain accurate customer, project, and opportunity information within company systems.\nDevelop new business opportunities while growing relationships with existing customers.\nRequired Qualifications\n2+ years of experience in industrial sales, construction, manufacturing, engineering services, or a related field.\nStrong business development and relationship management skills.\nMechanical aptitude and an interest in crane, rigging, and lifting solutions.\nAbility to evaluate project requirements and develop practical customer solutions.\nStrong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.\nAbility to perform jobsite evaluations, including outdoor work and climbing when necessary.\nAbility to pass a fit-for-duty examination.\nValid driver's license and willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.\nExperience in crane and rigging, construction, industrial services, or equipment rental.\nExperience preparing estimates, proposals, and project plans.\nFamiliarity with lift planning software and project coordination.\nBarnhart Offers\nCompetitive salary with a performance-based bonus program\nCompany vehicle or vehicle allowance\n401(k) with company match up to 10%\nComprehensive benefits package including insurance and paid time off\nOpportunity to grow your career with a supportive and team-oriented culture\nPURPOSE - Barnhart is built on a strong foundation of serving others.
