If you enjoy troubleshooting equipment, working with your hands, and taking pride in maintaining safe and efficient operations, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting building systems, equipment, and facility infrastructure to support daily operations. In this role, you will:\nPerform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems.\nComplete minor construction, renovation, and repair projects throughout the facility.\nInstall, maintain, and repair electrical components including lighting, outlets, switches, and motors.\nMonitor and coordinate waste management services and outside vendors.\nServe as the point of contact for facility systems including fire protection, security, and access control.\nTroubleshoot and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, sprinkler, wash bay, and gate systems.\nSupport vendor site visits and ensure work is completed safely and effectively.\nOperate equipment including forklifts, manlifts, sweepers, and grounds maintenance equipment.\nMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.\nSupport facility operations and perform other duties as assigned.\nWhy You’ll Love This Role\nCompetitive Pay + Weekly Pay Schedule\nPermanent, full-time role\n401(k) program with company match up to 10% of pay\nFamily medical, dental and vision insurance is available after 90 days of employment\nPaid time off and other benefits\nBarnhart CARES family care and community service opportunities\nLong-term growth opportunities\nJoin a company with a strong safety-first, team-driven culture\nWhat You Bring\nWe're looking for dependable team members who take pride in maintaining facilities, solving problems, and supporting a safe work environment.\nRequired\nMechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.\nBasic electrical knowledge and ability to diagnose facility-related issues.\nAbility to read measurements, weights, and perform basic math calculations.\nBasic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance tracking systems.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office Suite.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong commitment to safety and attention to detail.\nAbility to pass a drug screen, background check, and fit-for-duty assessment.\nPreferred:\nExperience in industrial, commercial, or facility maintenance.\nExperience with HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, or building systems.\nExperience operating forklifts, manlifts, or similar equipment.\nValid driver's license.\nStrong work ethic and willingness to learn.\nTeam player with a positive, go-getter attitude.\nAdditional Expectations:\nAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.\nAbility to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nCommitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workplace.\nWork Environment\nMonday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM\n40 hours/week with overtime opportunities\nShop-based role with some outdoor and job site work\nPURPOSE - Barnhart is built on a strong foundation of serving others.
