Some travel to branch locations may be required.\nKey Responsibilities\nCommunication Strategy & ExecutionSupport and execute internal communication plans aligned with business priorities\nIdentify communication gaps and help implement practical solutions\nMaintain consistent messaging and communication standards\n\nContent & Channel ManagementManage internal channels (intranet, email, digital signage, video)\nCreate clear, engaging written and multimedia content\nMaintain the communications calendar and coordinate messaging across teams\nPartner with media resources on video and visual content\n\nExecutive & Leadership SupportDraft and edit leadership communications (announcements, talking points, key messages)\nSupport leaders in effectively cascading information across the business\nEnsure messaging is timely, clear, and aligned\nAssist with communication planning and messaging for crisis or sensitive situations\n\nEmployee Engagement & PartnershipPartner with HR, Operations, IT, and other teams on communication needs\nBuild relationships across branches, regions, and departments\nSupport initiatives that strengthen engagement and culture\n\nOperational Excellence & ImprovementExecute recurring communication tasks and rhythms\nTrack performance metrics (engagement, adoption, participation)\nUse data and feedback to continuously improve communication efforts\n\nQualifications\nEducationBachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field\n\nExperience5-8+ years in internal communications or a related field\nExperience supporting multi-location or distributed teams preferred\nExperience managing communication channels and/or media platforms\nExperience working with cross-functional teams and supporting leadership communications\n\nSkillsStrong writing and editing skills\nSolid organization and project management abilities\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines\nStrong relationship-building and collaboration skills\nComfort working with multimedia content and creative partners\nAbility to use data to evaluate and improve effectiveness\n\nPersonal AttributesProactive and solution-oriented\nCollaborative and adaptable\nStrong communicator with sound judgment\nDetail-oriented with strong follow-through\n\nBarnhart Offers -\nCompetitive salary and performance bonus\n$1 for $1 match on 401(k), capped at 10% of pay\nHealth insurance, paid time off, holidays, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and additional benefits discussed during the interview process\nBarnhart CARES family care and community service opportunities\nPURPOSE - Barnhart is built on a strong foundation of serving others.
