We’re creating the nervous system of the farm - where every bin, barn, and gateway talks to each other, the cloud, and to our customers through industry leading web and mobile apps.\nAbout The Role\nBarnTools is looking for a motivated Iowa State student with an agriculture background and an affinity for technology to join our team as a Customer Support & AgTech Intern.\nThis internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of agriculture, technology, customer support, and a growing startup environment. You will work directly with customers and our internal teams to troubleshoot problems, test products, analyze data, and identify opportunities to improve our solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport customers with technical questions, troubleshooting, product setup, and software configuration.\nHelp customers use BarnTools hardware, mobile applications, and web-based software.\nPrepare and ship customer orders; some light physical activity is required.\nAssist with field testing, product deployments, and occasional customer visits.\nAnalyze customer and product data to help identify issues and opportunities for improvement.\nWork with the BarnTools team to identify and implement product and process improvements based on customer feedback.\nAssist the Sales team with trade shows, exhibitions, demonstrations, and sales enablement activities.\nCommunicate customer feedback and product issues to our Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams.\nTake ownership of problems and follow them through to resolution while striving to exceed customer expectations.\nAbout You\nCurrently pursuing a degree at Iowa State University, preferably with an agriculture, animal science, agricultural engineering, technology, or related background.\nInterested in the intersection of agriculture and technology.\nComfortable working with technology and learning new software and hardware systems.\nEnjoy solving problems and helping people.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nProactive, curious, organized, and willing to take on new challenges.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where every day can be different.\nWilling to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.\nMost importantly, you are passionate about agriculture and want to help farmers and producers use technology to solve real-world problems.\nWhat We Offer\nHands-on experience with IoT technology, SaaS software, customer success, agricultural technology, data analysis, product testing, and the day-to-day operations of a growing AgTech company.\nAn exciting, fast-paced work environment where your ideas can be acted on swiftly.
