In this hybrid role, you will work with our project support services team to assist proposal and project teams in maintaining compliance with client requirements related to safety, quality management, corporate policies, and social responsibility.\nThe ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, detail-oriented, with a high degree of follow-through and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams to drive progress and deliver results on key priorities. They demonstrate professionalism in their interactions with others and excel in both independent and collaborative work environments. They also bring strong task management and critical thinking skills, sound judgment in working with confidential information, and a practical, problem-solving mindset, identifying solutions and opportunities for continuous improvement.\nYour impact - key responsibilities\n Contractor prequalification and compliance administration: Maintain compliance with client-specific contractor prequalification requirements through third-party contractor qualification vendors (e.g., ISNetworld, Avetta). Coordinate with third-party vendors and monitor vendor websites and email communications for action items, requirement changes, and ongoing status updates. Gather the information, documentation, and approvals needed for vendor websites (e.g., compile reports on hours worked at client jobsites), and upload required contractor and safety documentation. \nProject team support: Work with project principals, project managers, and administrative and support staff to communicate client requirements and contractor prequalification status. Facilitate employee registration for client-specific training. Assist with proposal prequalification questionnaires related to safety, quality management, and corporate social responsibility.\nRecords management and administrative support: Organize project support services files and maintain current, accurate records. Work with the project support services team to identify and fulfill compliance assistance needs and maintain documentation. Compile documentation for contractor safety audits.\nAbout the opportunity\nAhybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a home office. This position can be based out of our Ann Arbor, Michigan, or Duluth, Hibbing, or Minneapolis, Minnesota, offices.\nAbout you - required core competencies\nEducation: Associate’s degree in a related discipline.\nExperience: Two or more years of relevant experience.Administrative, office support, or similar professional experience involving document and information coordination.\n\nSoftware: Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proficiency with computers, including business software and databases.\nCommunication: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and employees at all levels within the organization.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future.\nHelpful additional experience (not required)\nBachelor’s degree in a related field\nExperience with workplace safety practices and requirements.\nExperience with regulatory compliance administration.\nExperience assisting with preparation for a certification audit, such as ISO 27001, ISO 45001, or ISO 9001, and participating in an audit with the registrar.\nExperience using data management systems such as Deltek Vision, ISNetworld, Avetta, or Workday.\nCompensation\nAnticipated range of $23.50-$31.00 hourly. Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance.
