The successful candidate will effectively manage site land disturbance and permitting activities, reclamation activities, and biodiversity-related projects while ensuring full regulatory compliance with the site’s Plans of Operations, Reclamation Permits, and Biodiversity Program.\nThe ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a diverse team. Your role will be critical in helping us achieve our environmental objectives and sustain our commitment to responsible mining practices.\nAt Nevada Gold Mines, we are committed to a safe work environment and sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy for our host communities.\nWe offer a comprehensive benefits package including a medical, dental, and vision plan with company-sponsored medical clinics, a 401k retirement plan with an employer match, paid time off, a company stock purchase program, and much more.\nResponsibilities:\nManage the site's reclamation permits, including regulatory reporting and updating reclamation cost estimate models.\n\nEnsure compliance with the site’s Plan of Operations, with a primary focus on land management obligations.\n\nDevelop and execute reclamation and closure plans in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.\n\nComplete activities associated with Carlin’s Biodiversity Program, including biological survey oversight, managing long-term riparian restoration and habitat mitigation projects, noxious weed management, and wildlife management.\n\nAssist with Plan of Operations amendments and associated NEPA permitting actions, as needed.\n\nBuild strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including Federal and State authorities, to communicate monitoring results and collaborate on strategies for the successful execution of reclamation and closure activities.\n\nAssist with training NGM employees and contractors.\n\nResponsible for periodic, after-hours on-call response to environmental incidents.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in a physical or biological sciences, natural resource management, environmental engineering, or related field required\n\nExcellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills required\n\nProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required\n\nIn-depth experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required\n\nAbility to operate a light vehicle in off-road and/or inclement conditions required\n\nAbility to regularly walk over uneven, sloped, rocky, wet or icy ground and the ability to lift 40 or more pounds consistently and safely required\n\nExperience with GIS is highly preferred\n\nContractor management and budgeting experience preferred\n\nExperience in regulatory agency interactions preferred\n\nOne to three years in a mining industry setting preferred\n\nFamiliarity with compliance systems and ISO 14001 preferred\n\nThank you for your application;
