This role monitors, controls, and reports the financial performance of mining projects, ensuring delivery within budget through accurate cost estimates, forecasts, and analyses. update project budgets, forecasts, and cost control plans in alignment with project scope and schedule.\nMonitor project costs, track variances, and provide detailed financial reporting and analysis.\nCollaborate closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure timely collection and validation of cost data.\nPerform cost risk analysis, trend forecasting, and scenario modeling to support project decisions.\nReview and approve contractor invoices, change orders, and other project-related expenditures.\nSupport the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management reports for senior leadership.\nEnsure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and reporting standards.\nIdentify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvements, and efficiency enhancements.\nAssist in audits and financial reviews related to project costs.\nOther duties as required \nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field required\n5-10 years of experience in project controls, cost control, or financial management within the mining or heavy industrial sectors preferred\nStrong understanding of mining project cost structures, budgeting, and financial reporting required\nProficiency in project controls software (e.g., SAP, Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent) required\nExcellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills required\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
