& Contracts Officer\nPosition Description\nKibali Gold Mine is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Procurement & Contracts Officer to supportthe ARK Project mine expansion feasibility study.\nThis role will provide procurement, contracting and commercial support across feasibility study work packages, ensuring that sourcing, tendering, contract administration, supplier engagement and cost control activities are delivered in line with project requirements, company standards and applicable regulatory obligations.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nSupport the development and execution of procurement plans for feasibility study work packages, including services, equipment, materials, consultants and contractor requirements.\n\nCoordinate sourcing, RFQ/RFP and tender processes, ensuring clear scopes of work, compliant documentation, effective bidder communication and timely close-out of procurement activities.\n\nConduct commercial evaluations, bid clarifications and recommendation reports in collaboration with project, technical and commercial stakeholders.\n\nDraft, review, negotiate and administer contracts in line with ARK Project requirements, company policies, governance standards and applicable laws and regulations.\n\nMonitor contract performance, deliverables, variations, claims, disputes and close-out requirements, ensuring commercial risks are identified and appropriately managed.\n\nTrack procurement commitments, contract expenditure and budget alignment, providing accurate reporting on cost, schedule, compliance and supplier performance.\n\nSupport procurement schedule alignment through expediting, supplier follow-up, delivery tracking and early identification of supply risks or delays.\n\nMaintain accurate procurement and contract records, including tender files, approvals, correspondence, contract registers, variation logs and close-out documentation.\n\nSupport supplier prequalification, due diligence and onboarding processes, including HSE, financial, technical, legal and compliance checks where required.\n\nPromote local content and host-country supplier participation, where applicable, while ensuring competitive, transparent and compliant procurement practices.\n\nMaintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, suppliers and contractors while promoting ethical procurement practices, transparency and continuous improvement.\n\nQualification Requirements\nBachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Commercial Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.\n\nA professional certification in procurement, supply chain or contract management, such as CIPS or equivalent, will be advantageous.\n\nExperience and Skills Requirements\nMinimum of five years’ experience in procurement, contracting or commercial administration, preferably within mining, engineering, construction or capital project environments.\n\nPractical experience supporting project procurement, tendering, contract formation, contract administration and supplier performance management.\n\nSound knowledge of procurement governance, contract terms, commercial risk, claims management, variations, cost control and compliance requirements.\n\nStrong analytical, planning, negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven project environment.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical, commercial and operational stakeholders.\n\nHigh attention to detail, sound judgement and a commitment to ethical procurement, governance and continuous improvement.\n\nProficiency in SAP or similar
