This person will be responsible for The HR Process Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and continuously improving automated solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and employee experience of Human Resources operations. The position serves as a technical and functional partner to HR teams, identifying automation opportunities, developing solutions, integrating systems, and enabling data-driven decision-making while strengthening process controls and operational excellence.\nMain Key Responsibilities\nPerform other duties and responsibilities related to the position as assigned, in accordance with business needs.\n Identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities to automate, standardize, and optimize HR processes, reducing manual activities, operational risks, and processing times.\nDesign, develop, implement, and maintain end-to-end automation solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, RPA, and other digital technologies.\nOptimize and integrate HR systems, including Oracle HCM Cloud, to improve data accuracy, system connectivity, and operational efficiency.\nDevelop automated controls, validations, reconciliations, and exception monitoring across Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Time & Labor, Absence Management, and other areas of HR.\nDesign and implement digital workflows and case management solutions to improve request tracking, process ownership, approvals, service levels, and employee experience.\nDevelop automated dashboards, reports, and performance indicators using Power BI and other analytical tools to support data-driven decision-making.\nCollaborate with HR process owners, IT, Finance, and other areas to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and sustainable automation solutions.\nLead the automation lifecycle, including process mapping, solution design, testing, deployment, documentation, user training, and change management.\n Monitor and continuously improve automated solutions, ensuring system reliability, data protection, compliance, and effective internal controls.\nMeasure automation impact through productivity gains, error reduction, time savings, and service improvements, maintaining an automation roadmap aligned with HR strategic priorities.\nPerform other duties and responsibilities related to the position as assigned, in accordance with business needs.\nRequirements\n\nBachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.\nBilingüe (Español/Ingles) (Preferred)\nMicrosoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and SharePoint.\nSQL, relational databases, and data integration tools.\nMicrosoft 365 and workflow management applications.\nOracle HCM Cloud or similar enterprise HR systems.\n2-4 years of relevant experience in process automation, systems integration, digital transformation, or business process optimization.\nExperience implementing automation solutions in HR or other high-volume operational environments is preferred\nAbout Barrick\nBarrick is a global leader in the gold mining industry, with a vision of generating wealth and well-being through responsible mining for our owners, our people, and the countries and communities with whom we partner.
