The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a role in various commercial space endeavors with our partners that include NASA, Intuitive Machines, Axiom Space, Lockheed Martin, and others.\nResponsibilities\nThe Assembly, Integration, and Test Engineer will:\nLead planning, assembly, and integration of spacecraft structures, subsystems, payloads, and flight hardware in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures. \nIntegrate electrical, mechanical, thermal, and software elements into complete spacecraft systems. \nDevelop, review, approve, and execute spacecraft integration and test procedures. \nLead functional, performance, and end-to-end verification testing of spacecraft hardware and software. \nOperate and maintain Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE), test racks, simulators, and laboratory instrumentation. \nDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, and integration anomalies encountered during assembly and testing activities. \nPerform root-cause investigations and corrective action implementation. \nQualifications\nRequired Education/Experience/Skills:\nBS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited engineering school, plus ten (10) years of related engineering experience \nExtensive experience with spacecraft assembly, integration, and test \nMechanical design experience including complex assemblies and engineering drawings, and hardware production \nApplied experience using CAD modeling software (Creo, NX, SolidWorks, etc.) \nApplied experience with engineering drawings created to ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) \nExperience developing and executing spacecraft environmental testing and launch campaign operations \nFamiliarity with aerospace standards such as ECSS, AS9100, NASA, or customer-specific requirements \nExperience developing automated test scripts and test software \nExperience leading technical reviews and cross-functional team integration \nKnowledge of configuration management and systems engineering processes\nPreferences:\nWorking experience with spaceflight programs \nExperience in a manufacturing environment \nExperience with requirement development, decomposition, documentation, and review \nProject management or other leadership experience \nExperience developing technical documentation \nWorking experience with Windchill \nWorking experience with product lifecycle management software \nMaster of Science degree in Engineering \nEssential Requirements\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.\nApplicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.\nWork may involve sitting for extended periods.\nMay require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.\nMust have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.\nGenerally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.\nStandard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)\nRegular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.\nAbility to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.\nMust be able to work in a team atmosphere.\nMust put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.\nGrooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.\nThis position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.\nDon’t miss out on this great opportunity; for immediate consideration, apply now!\nBarrios Technology is a drug-free workplace, which is imperative to the health and safety of all employees and is required as a condition of receiving contracts from federal agencies.
