The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play in a role in various commercial space endeavors with our partners that include NASA, Intuitive Machines, Axiom Space, Lockheed Martin, and others.\nResponsibilities\nThe Electrical Engineer will:\nLead the design and development of electrical systems and hardware for spaceflight applications.\nGenerate and maintain electrical schematics, interface documentation, bills of materials, and technical documentation in accordance with engineering standards and program requirements.\nPerform and oversee electrical analyses to support design, integration, verification, and troubleshooting activities.\nDevelop and execute verification activities, including functional and environmental testing of electrical hardware.\nLead hardware procurement, manufacturing, assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and delivery efforts.\nCollaborate with systems, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and test teams to integrate electrical hardware into flight systems.\nLead requirements development, design reviews, and verification planning activities.\nSupport customer presentations, technical reviews, and program milestones.\nPerform other assigned duties.\nQualifications\nRequired Education/Experience/Skills:\nBS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution, plus ten (10) years of related engineering experience.\nExperience designing electrical systems from concept through hardware realization for spaceflight systems.\nApplied experience creating electrical schematics and engineering documentation using industry-standard electrical design tools.\nExperience selecting, integrating, and troubleshooting electrical components and hardware.\nExperience developing engineering documentation including schematics, bills of materials, interface documentation, work orders, and test plans.\nKnowledge of electrical system requirements, verification methods, and hardware testing.\nExperience leading technical efforts and working on multidisciplinary engineering teams with strong written and verbal communication skills.\nPreferences:\nExperience with environmental testing, including vibration, thermal-vacuum, shock, or other testing.\nExperience with power distribution, embedded electronics, sensors, motor control, communications interfaces, or avionics systems.\nExperience with electrical analysis, simulation, or PCB design tools.\nMaster's degree in engineering.\nEssential Requirements\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.\nApplicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.\nWork may involve sitting for extended periods.\nMay require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.\nMust have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.\nGenerally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.\nStandard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)\nRegular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.\nAbility to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.\nMust be able to work in a team atmosphere.\nMust put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.\nGrooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.\nThis position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.\nDon’t miss out on this great opportunity; for immediate consideration, apply now!\nBarrios Technology is a drug-free workplace, which is imperative to the health and safety of all employees and is required as a condition of receiving contracts from federal agencies.
