Amentum is NASA’s largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States.\nWe are looking for an IT Technical Specialist to join the JETS II contract with Barrios, a teammate company.\nResponsibilities\nTheIT Technical Specialist will:\nDemonstrates patience and perseverance, with the ability to remain calm and professional when working through challenging technical issues.\n\nStrong communication skills are essential\n\nAbility to clearly explain technical concepts and issues to nontechnical employees, management, and other stakeholders.\n\nMust be able to prioritize and manage multiple issues effectively while maintaining a high level of service.\n\nCollaborative team player who is willing to ask for assistance when needed and working cooperatively with others is essential.\n\nThe candidate should also be comfortable communicating technical issues and recommendations to management in a clear and professional manner.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Education/Experience/Skills:\nBachelor’s degree and/or equivalent certification in a related area or experience in the field, plus five (5) years of experience\n\nBasic knowledge of networking, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls\n\nExperience with user/account administration\n\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\n\nStrong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365\n\nExperience with user account administration and access management\n\nExcellent communication and customer-service skills\n\nAbility to independently diagnose and resolve technical problems\n\nGeneral cybersecurity knowledge\n\nFamiliarity with remote-support and ticketing systems, ServiceNow experience preferred\n\nObtain and maintain a LOC50\n\nCompTIA A+ - foundational IT/support skills\n\nCompTIA Network+ - networking\n\nCompTIA Security+ - cybersecurity fundamentals\n\nMicrosoft certifications\n\nPreferences:\n3+ years of hands-on IT support/administration experience\n\nTechnical degree or equivalent on-the-job experience\n\nAbility to pass random drug tests\n\nAbility to pass a thorough security clearance background check\n\nPhysically able to lift and move 30 lb. pieces of equipment on a frequent basis\n\nWalk between multiple buildings\n\nEssential Requirements\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.\nApplicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.\nWork may involve sitting for extended periods.\nMay require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.\nMust have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.\nGenerally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.\nStandard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)\nRegular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.\nAbility to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.\nMust be able to work in a team atmosphere.\nMust put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.\nGrooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.\nThis position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.\nDon’t miss out on this great opportunity; for immediate consideration, apply now!\nBarrios Technology is a drug-free workplace, which is imperative to the health and safety of all employees and is required as a condition of receiving contracts from federal agencies.
