Currently there is an exciting opportunity for a xEVA Systems Engineer to join the team with Barrios, a teammate company.\nResponsibilities\nThe xEVA Systems Engineer will:\nApply expertise in systems engineering principles and techniques to establish and perform systems integration activities.\nManage the integration of Verification and Validation Plans, Interface Requirements Documents, and Interface Control Documents for the xEVA Program, notably in the spacesuit project.\nUtilize comprehensive understanding of the NASA human spaceflight program life cycle to perform xEVA system integration activities, such as authoring and reviewing integrated technical and engineering documents.\nEstablish and lead working relationships with NASA leads, system managers, commercial teammates, and international partners to perform systems integration activities.\nMentor team members with implementation of SE&I activities such as requirements identification, verification/validation and tracking, interface definition and Interface Control Document (ICD) development, working with design organizations and cross-functional teams, supporting development, integration, certification, and verification testing.\nProvide comprehensive, technical systems knowledge and expertise during major project milestones and project reviews to lead SE&I teams through action resolution.\nPerform other duties as required.\nQualifications\nRequired Education/Experience/Skills:\nBS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus ten (10) years of appropriate work experience.\nApplied knowledge of product life cycle development and systems engineering practices.\nStrong working knowledge of systems engineering practices associated with the definition, design, development, verification, implementation, testing, integration, and validation of complex systems.\nExcellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills.\nDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders.\nAbility to independently manage multiple tasks concurrently.\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).\nPreferences:\nINCOSE System Engineering Professional Certification.\nMaster of Science degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent engineering.\nKnowledge of systems, tools, or initiatives that promote the digitization of the systems engineering & integration discipline, such as requirements management software (DOORS, DNG, JAMA, etc.), workflow management software (JIRA, Confluence, etc.), model-based systems engineering software (Cameo, MagicDraw, etc.), or other digital tools (SharePoint, Confluence, etc.)\nWorking experience with Human Space Exploration programs (Artemis, ISS, Orion, EHP, Gateway, Moon Base, etc.).\nExperience with innovation or process improvements projects and initiatives.\nEssential Requirements\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.\nApplicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.\nWork may involve sitting for extended periods.\nMay require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.\nMust have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.\nGenerally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.\nStandard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)\nRegular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.\nAbility to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.\nMust be able to work in a team atmosphere.\nMust put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.\nGrooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.\nThis position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.\nDon’t miss out on this great opportunity; for immediate consideration, apply now!\nBarrios Technology is a drug-free workplace, which is imperative to the health and safety of all employees and is required as a condition of receiving contracts from federal agencies.
