By blending people-centric leadership with disciplined operational strategies and purpose-driven growth, Barry-Wehmiller has become a $3 billion organization with nearly 12,000 team members united by a common belief: to use the power of business to build a better world.Job Description:\nJob Summary:\nThe Electrical Designer will provide sustaining facilities electrical engineering design support for our clients’ site electrical distribution systems.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution and lighting systems.\n\nCollaborate with architects, engineers and contractors on new construction/renovation projects.\n\nReview electrical design specifications and drawings.\n\nDesigning low & medium-voltage electrical distribution systems. To include MCC's, generators, transformers, low voltage substations, UPS.\n\nReview cost estimates and budgets.\n\nWork on multiple projects.\n\nMaintain current NEC codes knowledge.\n\nRead and interpret design drawings and specifications.\n\nRequirements:\n4+ years experience in areas such as low and medium voltage power, easy power, load flow analysis, and electrical engineering drawings in a manufacturing environment.\n\nDesign of Electrical Power layouts, Lighting layouts, wiring diagrams, cable trays and Electrical location layouts in REVIT.\n\nExperience with Mechanical, Electrical and Process (MEP) engineers and technicians.\n\nExperience with multi-discipline large capital projects involving Owners, General Contractors, Contractors, and System Integrators.\n\nGood Understanding of Design/Build (Engineering and Construction).\n\nFamiliar with facilities document control systems.\n\nExperience with electrical as-built drawings that are incorporated into master CAD drawings\n\nExperience reviewing and updating electrical system models.\n\nExperience with project closeout: reviewing construction specifications, as-builts, O&M manuals, and submittals.\n\nExperience using Revit and AutoCAD software to create design drawings and 3D models.\n\nProficient with written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations.\n\nAt Barry-Wehmiller we recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
