In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical components, for packaging machinery, equipment, conveyance and/or sub-assemblies according to engineering specifications, schematics, and bills of material. This role requires strong electrical aptitude, precision assembly skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and operations to deliver high-quality, safe, and reliable equipment.\nEssential Job Functions:\nElectrical assembly of machines and equipment, including machine wiring, electrical panels, junction boxes, control panels, sub-assembly and component assembly.\nRead and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical instructions.\nDemonstrate strong understanding and knowledge of electrical safety and wiring standards.\nSupport machine testing, troubleshooting and factory acceptance tests prior to shipment.\nWork closely with engineering and other production team members to ensure accurate documentation and resolve issues.\nAbility to effectively operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, manlifts, etc.\nAbility to work together within a team and work independently with little supervision.\nMay prepare equipment for shipping, including crating.\nFlexibility to take on evolving responsibilities in response to strategic priorities and business needs.\nWillingness to work overtime as needed.\nBasic Skills & Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent\n2+ years of experience in electrical assembly in a manufacturing environment\nAt Barry-Wehmiller we recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
