You'll join a growing team of more than 2,000 professionals across 45 U.S. offices where you'll be empowered to make an impact, develop your expertise, and grow your career.\nWhat You'll Do\nIn this role, you'll be responsible for supporting electrical design solutions for manufacturing, industrial facility renovations, and greenfield projects. You'll work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams to develop coordinated power distribution and lighting designs. This position plays an important role in helping clients deliver reliable, code-compliant facility improvements while giving you the opportunity to build technical expertise across complex project environments.\nDesign electrical power distribution and lighting systems for manufacturing, industrial facility renovation, and greenfield projects \nDevelop electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution and lighting systems as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team \nUse Title 24 and EnergyPro software to support energy code and compliance requirements \nCollaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors on new construction and renovation projects \nReview electrical design specifications and drawings to support accurate project execution \nSupport low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems, including MCCs, generators, transformers, substations, and UPS systems \nManage multiple project assignments while maintaining alignment with project priorities and client needs \nApply NEC, CEC, and local code amendment knowledge to electrical design work \nRead and interpret design drawings and specifications to support coordinated project delivery \nStrengthen client and team relationships through consistent technical support and project execution \nWhat You'll Bring\nQualifications\nBachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution \nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or willingness to sit for the EIT exam \nProficiency using Revit and AutoCAD for electrical design work \nExperience working with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers and technicians on multidisciplinary project teams \nAbility to travel for project requirements, including installation and start-up activities, client and company meetings, trainings, seminars, forums, and conventions \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with low- and medium-voltage power, SKM Power Tools, load flow analysis, and electrical engineering drawings in an A/E firm environment \nExperience with lighting photometric programs, Title 24, and California Electrical Code requirements \nExperience with design/build environments, facilities document control systems, as-built drawings, and electrical system model updates \nAt Barry-Wehmiller we recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
