The candidate will be using engineering principles and design software, to help design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nEngineer machinery controls that are extensive and complex, involving original design work and selecting components and materials.\nAbility to optimize design and implement knowledge of control system architecture including hardware, software, instrumentation, and networking equipment.\nProficient ability to understand control philosophy and write functional requirement specifications including description of servo control, safety interlocks and alarms.\nContribute sound professional advice and creative new ideas, concepts and approaches relative to new product design and development projects.\nCounsel and train other engineers in technical areas as required.\nTest and debug equipment to isolate defects.\nCollaborate within a global team of engineers from North America, Italy, and India.\nPrepare schematics and bills of material (BOM) for moderately complex equipment. Eplan experience is a plus.\nSupport manufacturing/assembly teams.\nMay travel to customer sites to support field teams with technical assistance as required.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required\nThree to five years of experience in Controls Engineering\nManufacturing experience preferred\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:\nExperience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programming (Prefer Rockwell) required\nStrong logical, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities\nVerbal and written communication skills\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical assembly layouts\nExperience in programming ControlLogix platform using Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk\nAbility to read and interpret moderately complex electrical schematics and mechanical assembly layouts\nWorking knowledge of CAD (E-Plan and/or AutoCAD) and engineering systems.\nWeb handling, tension control, rewinding, unwinding understanding.\nSoftware programming and control theory education and experience.\nServo Drive parameterization, programming, and tuning. (Prefer Rockwell and Bosch-Rexroth)\nHuman Machine Interface (HMI) programming.
