This leader will ensure the successful execution of engineering projects in alignment with company objectives, emphasizing continuous improvement, technical excellence, and effective cross-functional collaboration.\nEssential Functions\nProvide technical direction and project leadership for engineering models, services, and capabilities that support business goals.\nOffer hands-on technical oversight and support to team members to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met.\nApply broad cross-functional business knowledge to generate improvements and build internal customer alignment.\nStay current with industry trends and technological developments, sharing relevant insights with the team to enhance efficiency.\nAssess and improve engineering processes to drive productivity and quality.\nSet clear priorities aligned with stakeholder needs; coordinate cross-department efforts to maintain schedule adherence.\nCollaborate with other engineering leaders to optimize scheduling and project execution.\nFoster continuous team improvement by aligning individual capabilities and aspirations with business needs; develop action plans to close skill gaps.\nProvide constructive, timely feedback to uphold high performance standards across the team.\nEngage in direct engineering work when necessary.\nDevelop and implement engineering standards, toolsets, and best practices to improve quality and efficiency.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nProven ability to elevate team performance through leadership and coaching.\nEntrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on continuous process improvement.\nStrong project management and organizational skills.\nCapable of thriving in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.\nFlexible and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.\nProficiency in engineering design software; Electrical CAD (e.g., EPLAN) experience is a plus.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.\n5 years plus of professional engineering experience.\nAt least 3 years of demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams.\nProven experience implementing CAD tool and vault framework standardizations.\nBackground in custom or semi-custom OEM equipment within low-volume, high-capital manufacturing environments.\nAt Barry-Wehmiller we recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
