This role will work closely with the engineering department to support design for manufacturing, ensure product quality, develop standard part assemblies, and optimize manufacturing capabilities.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES\nCollaborate with engineering to implement and manage the Afinitas Issue Tracker for quality and engineering revision EVM projects\nDevelop and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routings\nSupport machining operations by identifying and routing outsourced items efficiently.\nCollaborate with other departments to determine the disposition of materials and expedite the flow of materials as needed; work with engineering in the substitution of materials as required. \nConduct pre- and post-design/manufacturing reviews to ensure product quality and manufacturability\nAssist in design for manufacturing (DFM) initiatives, focusing on cost control and design-to-budget objectives\nDevelop building instructions, jigs, and fixturing to support manufacturing processes\nManage timely drawing updates and ensure engineering BOM changes are properly controlled in the manufacturing environment\nSupport product quality assurance processes\nCoordinate with engineering to develop and maintain manufacturing standards and specifications\nIdentify and resolve manufacturing-related design challenges\nManage project cost control throughout the design and manufacturing processes\nQUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES\nBachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field\n2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, BOM management, and engineering coordination\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and product design principles\nProficiency in engineering and manufacturing software (CAD, ERP systems)\nExperience with Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and management\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite\nExperience with design for manufacturing (DFM) principles\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously\nAttention to detail and strong organizational skills\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility, with travel to customer plants.
